About the Role
Stripe is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale our payments platform. You'll work on both our merchant-facing dashboard (React) and the backend APIs (Ruby, Java) that process billions of dollars annually. This role sits within the Payments Platform team and involves close collaboration with product, data, and infrastructure engineers.
What You'll Do
- •Build and maintain user-facing features in our merchant dashboard
- •Develop scalable backend services handling high-throughput payment flows
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship product improvements
- •Write comprehensive tests and maintain high code quality
- •Contribute to system design and architecture planning
- •On-call rotation for critical payment services
What We're Looking For
- •4+ years of software engineering experience in fullstack or backend roles
- •Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and at least one server-side language (Ruby, Java, Go, or Python)
- •Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
- •Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
- •Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- •BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
